The Journey

Born in Fort Benning, Georgia, Wayno Sanchez was born to parents who migrated from the Dominican Republic. After years of living in various states due to his father’s Army career, his family relocated to South Florida. Unsure of what to do after high school, Wayno followed in his father’s footsteps and enlisted in the Air Force. While stationed in New Mexico, he gained his first film experience as background in films such as Transformers and Brothers. Although originally he had no intentions of being an actor, his interest in film grew and he started taking acting classes. While on active duty, he landed roles in several indie films such as Boys of Abu Ghraib and The Virus. He was awarded the rising star award from LAT Studios, and most promising actor from Ovations Actors Studio. He currently lives in Los Angeles where he is pursuing acting and has since booked roles for Amazon, DisneyXD, AOL Media, Buzzfeed, and Starz network.
